Review the figures
Section titled “Review the figures”- Open the report under Accounting > Reporting. Select the company and date or period.
- Review all filters, especially journals, analytic accounts, and whether draft entries are included. Use posted entries for finalized figures.
- Add a Comparison period when useful. Compare equivalent periods rather than a full year against one month.
- Unfold the relevant line and open its journal items or source documents. Check dates, account, partner, currency, and posting status.
- Export the report only after confirming the scope. Keep the period and filters with the exported file so another person can reproduce it.
If totals disagree, first align company, dates, and filters. A payment after the report’s cut-off date can leave a receivable open in a historical report even if it is paid today. Do not change source entries simply to force reports to agree.
